FAQ
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel expenses are only covered within a certain distance from my home base in Sacramento. Travel beyond the greater sacramento area are covered additionally and can range from minimal additions such as gas and wear and tear coverage, to flight and stay, depending on how far you're love requires me to travel. However all expenses will be precisely calculated and shared with you upon booking, as well as stated in your contract.
Here's a secret tip: if your wedding has 50 guests or less (aka a micro wedding), and if you're getting married somewhere remote and beautiful that I've never been, I just might offer to cover some of the travel costs myself.
How will photos be delivered?
The photos will be delivered to your email with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can download your photos with the provided PIN, share the link with friends/family, share to social media, and order prints. Additionally for weddings and elopements you will receive a USB thumb drive containing your images for safe keeping.
Do we need a wedding officiant for our elopement? If yes, can you recommend one?
You do need an officiant for your elopement. But lucky for you, if you're looking to cut out that extra person, I am ordained and able to perform your ceremony and officially marry you. However, if you need a recommendation, I have plenty of vendor referrals.
HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
For weddings, a standard 8 hour day typically yields around 600-750 edited photos. Portrait & engagement sessions yield approximately 40-50 edited photos per hour of shooting time.
What if we want something more extreme for our elopement (hiking, diving, etc)?
I am more than happy to partake in a wild adventure for your elopement. Whether that be a two hour long hike, going out on a sailboat, standing at the bottom of a waterfall, going for a dive, etc. I am more than happy to join you in whatever wild adventure your love story craves.
How long does it take to receive the photos after the elopement and how will those be delivered?
Gallery return time depends on the event or session type. Typically on average you should expect session galleries returned within 4-6 weeks, and wedding galleries can be expected between 6-8 weeks after the event. However I know that everyone is always excited to see how their photos turned out, so to help ease the excitement and nerves, I do send sneak peeks within 72 hours of the session or event. If wait times vary, it will be disclosed during our consultation, and in your contract.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE ORIGINAL UNEDITED RAW IMAGE FILES?
No, I will not provide the unedited RAW images. Part of hiring a photographer, is the work they put in to make your images beautiful during the editing process. The editing process is crucial to the images looking and feeling complete. The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images.
WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with a Canon EOS R5 and a Canon R6 as a backup camera, I typically wear both bodies at once with two different lenses to provide different image options throughout the day. The lenses I use are ideal for wedding and portrait photography. For indoor receptions and low lit venues, I use external flashes to create more light when needed.
